PRESS RELEASE
As manufacturers accelerate their digital transformation, one challenge continues to slow progress: fragmented software ecosystems that are difficult to implement and manage, as well as to scale. The DiMAT platform has been designed to address these challenges, providing single, secure access to advanced digital tools for manufacturing innovation and materials development.
Developed as a core outcome of the European DiMAT project, the platform consolidates the technological results and industrial knowledge generated by the consortium into a single, accessible digital gateway for industry.
Built around a “one account, many solutions” philosophy, the DiMAT platform brings together nine specialised end-to-end toolkits within a single environment. Instead of juggling multiple logins, contracts and deployment models, industrial users can now discover, configure and operate advanced digital solutions through one coherent interface.
One platform, multiple toolkits, less complexity
At its core, the DiMAT platform makes the adoption of digital solutions simple. Users access all available toolkits through a single secure identity provider, eliminating the need for separate credentials, fragmented billing systems or disconnected security models. Governance and protection are handled centrally at the platform level, ensuring consistent security across all integrated services.
For industry, this means faster onboarding, clearer oversight and lower administrative burden – allowing teams to focus on innovation rather than infrastructure.
DiMAT recognises that no two companies have the same digital maturity or needs, so the platform has been built to adapt. Users can start small, accessing the basic version of a single toolkit, and scale up to a full service package that includes advanced functionalities and expert consultancy from solution developers.
Toolkits can also be configured individually or combined into tailored solution bundles, depending on operational requirements. Deployment is equally flexible: users may choose cloud-based access directly via the platform or opt for local deployment where data sovereignty or integration needs demand it.
This flexibility makes the platform particularly relevant for SMEs, which often face constraints in terms of IT resources, investment capacity and in-house digital expertise.
Behind the interface, the DiMAT platform is powered by a modern, cloud-native architecture built on Docker and Kubernetes. Each toolkit operates independently while sharing a robust common infrastructure, ensuring resilience, scalability and ease of maintenance as the user base grows.
The platform is hosted and operated by ROPARDO, which provides the Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), VPS nodes and core platform services. This professional operating model ensures enterprise-grade reliability while remaining accessible to SMEs.
Faster discovery
All available solutions are presented through a structured toolkit catalogue organised into three functional areas:
· Data management and assessment
· Modelling and design
· Simulation and optimisation
These toolkits support industrial use cases such as materials characterisation, digital twins, process optimisation, performance assessment and sustainability-driven decision-making across manufacturing value chains.
Each toolkit entry includes clear technical documentation, supporting media and a direct request mechanism tailored to the specific delivery model of that solution. Rather than generic software downloads, users are invited to explore options and request offers aligned to their exact industrial needs.
The DiMAT platform represents a shift away from isolated digital tools towards a more integrated, user-centric model. By combining secure access, flexible configuration and scalable infrastructure, it creates a practical foundation for industrial digitalisation, one that supports experimentation, growth and long-term adoption.
As manufacturers look to accelerate innovation while managing cost and complexity, the DiMAT platform offers a clear, future-ready entry point into advanced digital manufacturing technologies as well as long-term, scalable solutions for growth.
The platform has been designed with future expansion in mind and is open to the integration of additional toolkits and services beyond the project lifetime, supporting sustained industrial exploitation and long-term impact.
